I got a call from EON regarding this comp so think it is a spam one :(
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Thanks to everyone who posts competitions. You are the stars of the board :T:j:T

Personally, I haven't had a call and I've entered many of these comps run by the same group, today. [The one I've posted isn't the only one this group are running, so if anyone has entered all of them, it's hard to say which one has generated the calls]

I would say though, if you're worried that you will end up being called, then avoid all of the eon comps, as this isn't the first one associated with eon, that I've read about follow up calls, being connected to.

Just to add, the calls with eon were going on a couple of days before I posted this comp:

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=31933809&postcount=2327

So everyone will have to make their own mind up whether they enter or not.

Very sneaky of eon to try getting people to switch in this way though

I didn't post this one because the promoter is Fair-Exchange who are on the spam list. My mum got a pushy call from EON and an email from Fair Exchange yesterday after entering one, so I'm worried now that she's permanently on their mailing lists. Personally I would avoid but it's up to you.

Not your fault though pipkin, as you say they've all been posted now not just this one :)

should've said I don't blame you either weeowen, my own fault for not reading the small print, especially on a comp like this, and the fair exchange connection wasn't obvious at all :)

It says in the T&Cs you will be contacted for a quote. You enter you get contacted. They're salesmen, of course they're going to be pushy lol.

I know (although some are more agressively pushy than others to be fair). It's the Fair Exchange connection I'm more worried about because I don't know if it's their privacy policy we're working under here, rather than Dennis Publishing's or EON. It's not made clear as far as I can see. I'm worried details will be held and sold on leading to more unsolicited spam and calls. All our numbers are signed up to the TPS though.
