How can I get rid of the smell of gloss paint?

    I have used an onion and it works well so does a potato cut in half of all things!

    I agree, we always use onions as soon as the paint tin is open. Never tried vinegar though.

    If you put some essential oils (citrus works best I think) in a bowl of neat vinegar in the warmest corner of the room, the citrus will counteract the smell of vinegar (which will only be faint, trust me) and the vinegar will absorb the smell of the paint. Really does work!
