my sons prom was a year ago and we hired a suit from Greenwoods - my son is small - and the one they provided fitted perfectly - his dad had wanted him to wear one of his - but a 2" difference in chest measurement made this a non-starter...
He looked brilliant - it was about £45 very well spent in my humble opinion. He is now training to become a joiner.....not much need for a suit at the moment...:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Don't know if you had already tried this- have no idea on costs but its an idea any how:
Get a decent suit from anywhere- and then take it to a dry-cleaners which also does alterations, see if they can make it fit him- but like I say, I have no idea on costs.
Its just in my head that for a man its not as much where the suit is made as much as it is how well it fits- a good cut by-passes any designer label. Hope he has a good night!0 -
hi have a look through the racks at BHS. i got a suit age 15 for my son last year about this time reduced i think i ended up paying £25 for jacket and trousers and its a lovely fit. it was for BIL's wedding but im hoping it still fits ok for his prom this year he hasnt grown that much. there were no big signs or seperate racks just reduced stickers on the price tags.:coffee:i find a cup of tea can solve most problems:coffee:
 but alcohol solves them all
