I've been checking on and off all day but I haven't had any surveys today, does it happen like that sometimes? Or do they just not like me anymore?!
While they are handy to help with the daily target, surveys on SB should be considered a bit of a last resort as they usually pay extremely poorly compared to answering the same surveys from the actual survey companies (it's also not unknown for SB surveys to fail to credit or screen out near the end of a survey, something that has never happened to me with a survey site).
Most of the UK survey sites I have used don't send out many or any at the weekends, bit of a Mon to Fri job, so there wouldn't be as many for swagbucks to offer either.0 -

I would second this, I rarely do surveys on SB anymore unless it's one of the instant surveys or the rare "75 SB for 4 mins" survey which pops up now and again (and usually fills its quota or filters me out before I can complete it ).
As mjm said, doing the exact same survey on another site will usually pay much better than the rate offered by SB, and will usually compensate you better if you're rejected (most other sites seem to have a lower rejection rate also).
In short, SB sucks for surveys.0 -

I gave up doing surveys on swagbucks years ago.
I try to reach my daily target by :
Running apps on phone........60 SB
Run through games..............10 SB
Two searches a day..............10 SB sometimes more
Couple of ncrave if working.....4 SB
Couple of cycles of sbtv..........6 SB
Enough watch vids to make target
If I am at work all day I just do bare minimum but if day off or more time, I leave vids running and encrave while its available and get a few more sb's.
I earn between £20 - £25 a month.......sometimes more........sometimes a bit less.
Have been doing it since (let me just have a look) June 2012
Its become a habit and has helped me loads with buying a few extras on Amazon.
I currently use what I earn on Amazon to buy household stuff in bulk.....toilet rolls, kitchen rolls, tomato sauce, soap, washing up liquid, fabric conditioner etc etc
In theory, this will eventually bring my weekly shop that I have to spend on "real cash" shopping down and I can put this money towards holidays or the nicer things in life.
Works for me.Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -
Which survey sites do you both use?
There is an MSE list here

I like Pinecone, you can get a payout with each survey
Onepoll, usually only 10p to 20p per survey but they are mostly very short
Populuslive £1 per 5 mins - if you wanted cash/paypal then at non-sale prices that's the same as a peanutlab survey paying 39sb for 1 not 10 minutes (32 sb with the sale)
Consumer Pulse is not many surveys but mostly giving them details of items purchased/rented in certain categories, 50p a week just for ticking boxes that nothing in the categories has been purchased but you can get up to £10 a month on top from recording items/services you have purchased, with the surveys there is the potential for over £170 a year.
GFK (monitoring the tv and radio you used in the main) is mostly prize draws but they run media diaries every so often that pay £5 for completing the week and occasionally other surveys.
ACNielsen involves scanning shopping and a few surveys a year all of which earns points you can exchange for goods.
Swagbucks does have the advantage of a generally lower payout threshold and all in one place so while you might have £100 spread across 3 or 4 sites that you cannot yet withdraw you could get at the £10 to £15 equivalent that swagbucks would pay.0 -
I downloaded the SB app a few weeks ago despite being worried by another forum member's warning about viruses. I am only able to get about 6-10 SBs on the TV section and I have to click manually through the ads.
I don't know if my phone is just getting older (it is only a year old but it is a Huawei) or if the SB app is draining the battery. I use an app killer but the battery still needs charging every evening.
I know it has been suggested that the SBs earned are worth more than the electricity it costs to charge the phone but I am not sure.
If you get 60 SBs on all the mobile apps, does that really cover the battery life? Is it really worthwhile?
Sorry for the questions. I've just never gotten into the apps even though I have SBing for a few years now. I usually only manage 30 SBs a day on my desktop. Thanks for any advice.0 -
That sounds like the Swagbucks app. When people talk about getting 60SB through the apps they are talking about the individual apps, SBTV, Sportly TV, Indymusic, lifestyle, entertaiNow and Movieclips. Easy to get 10sb on each of those. In my experience, the ios apps have a lot of sticky adverts but the android ones seem to run without any babysitting. Have a look at the link in the first post as Im sure the app info is all in there.0

Didnt really know what everyone was talking about with engageme TV but have found it on clixsense where I need to find two offers a day. If it works, I have found my solution, but how do I earn from it?
At the moment it seems to be running through the same vid? Do I need to manually click it onto the next video?
Any advice gratefully received.Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -

.
On my android phone I have SBtv, Indymusic, Entertain now and Movieclips, the other two wanted permissions I wouldn't grant. I try to skip through the clips on SBtv as they are so long, the other three I switch to the short clips and one of those I usually skip through as the clips load immediately unlike the other two which take ages to load so are generally left running.
That pays at least 40 sbs a day = 14600 sb a year, in the sale that's worth just over £100 of Amazon vouchers (over £150 if you run all 6) - Even charging everyday the charging cost is likely to be less than £5 a year
You can have play with costs here

In addition to mjm's excellent post, I'd also add that SurveyPolice is a useful resource when looking for reputable survey sites:
