Iceland Food Bonus Card Savings
Options
Hi I'm not sure if anyone else does this, Towards the end of the last year I started putting the odd few pounds in money on my Bonus Card as a way of saving for the Christmas shop.
I just asked the cashier to make the total up to the nearest £5.00. If it was £43.00 I asked them to take the £45.00 that's £43.00 for the shopping and £2.00 to save. I found this very helpful and in a few weeks I had saved £20.00, and Iceland also gave me £14.00 free for shopping there 4 times in a row. Iceland also give you a free £1.00 for every £24.00 saved. So it is win win all around.
This year I have started early so by Christmas 2015 I will have a tidy sum to spend and wont need to worry about the shopping bill.
Just thought I would share this. :T:T:T

All Iceland shoppers should use the Bonus Card - even if it's not to save on. Top it up just prior to shopping for immediate savings.
If you shop online, you can link your bonus card to your online account and top it up online, too.
Every £25 top up results in the bonus £1 being added within a couple of minutes.
Same principle applies in-store. Bung £50 on the card when you arrive, then shop and when you come to pay your bonus card has £52 on it. In a savings account, that kind of return could likely take a few years rather than a few minutes!!
The bonus card can be topped up by credit card (instore or online), so credit card cashback can apply, too.0 -
4% is a pretty nifty return!Hoping this year is better than the last.0
