I have A LOT of free time on my hands right now and I see the work load the top competition posters put in and was just wondering if you needed a hand?
I don't often come across many comps that haven't been posted but when I do I put them up.
If someone can let me know how I can be more a help around the forums then I'd be more than willing to. I enter enough comps and have had enough wins to want to give something back to the community.

Thank you that is such a lovely positive attitude.

What about searching for duplicate competitions and requesting merges?

Not wanting to open up the whole "I don't do pm debate again" but we do appear to have a number of people spotting dupes but not actually requesting the threads to be merged. So that bit would be helpful.

Lots of luck with the actual comping too.

Just in case you were wondering how to request a merge....

I send a PM in the following format to one of the board guides (Glad or Dalkirst, whose links are at the bottom of the page, or you can type their name into the PM box, and click on it):

"Hi,

A merge request please...

Thanks

Post 1 -

Post 2 - [URL] "

Not sure if Glad or Dalkirst have a preferred format for the PM, or whether my format works okay - I'm sure they'll let us know if they do.

Also, if you do request a merge, it would be really helpful if you could add that information to the thread... e.g. "I've PM'd Glad to request a merge". Although this does bump the thread, it lets everyone know that it's in hand

Also, if you want to do something more regular, sometimes people are asked for to post magazine comps, as in the Puzzler, Take a Break threads, and some are just posted regularly on the main board.

A short while ago they were looking for help with posting magazine dailies. Doing the whole thing might be too big a task, but there was talk of perhaps sharing this in some way.

Something else that would be a great help & free me up to enter the daily comps (which I have missed out on some day's) would be to learn how to link comps posted that are daily comps to the right sections.

So if someone posts a comp that is a daily/weekly/or daily RC comp & does not know how to link the comp to the correct regular section then people who do know how to come along & do it, but there are not many people who do know so some get lost down the board.
