It's true that our society is unable to openly talk about death. I googled peoples reactions to death and found this article on the Cruse website, what struck me was Nick Clarke's widow saying that "Neighbours have crossed the street in avoidance; friends have been unable to say Nick’s name; people who worshipped alongside her at church have melted away, and parents at her children’s school have expressed awkwardness in finding words."

Sorry if I'm not putting this very well, or if I've touched a sore point with anyone, but I'm so glad we've been able to help you a little bit. Bless you and your ds, you're both had to cope with such a loss, and you're both amazing.
