Thanks SueM for the Heads-up on the Times. Did we hear of any mixer winners?
F**F good job I missed your Fiday post otherwise I'll be awaiting my groceries again!!0 -
Evening everyone
Just caught up on the comps after all the visitors.
Alfie-Thanks did have a great day as I am sure you will have had tooand yes I can't wait to get back for some sun on the old bones.
SueM - Thanks for heads up for tomorrow
Fire**fly- Never thought of Lasagne for the slow cooker, is it easy? Did you find the recipe online?
Wingo- Hope you are feeling better. Like you I hate having to go to GP, I bring home anti-B's from Crete- you can buy them in the Pharmacy for about 3euro- for any time I feel the need.
ILC- love those kitten pics, very cuteand thanks for Real People update, will try entering.
Syl-Had a great day with the family and yes do miss them when we are away although we keep up to date on Facebook and this year will Skype. Some have been to Crete but with school age kids and only able to go July or August, the flight prices are terribly expensive but hopeful DD & family are going to make it this summer.
Had great fun with the GD's, the wee one is hilarious, and the older girls keep her amused.
Let DD and the older ones have a rummage through my box of lotions & potions, make up etc wins and they all went away very pleased
Enjoy the rest of Saturday folks0 -

No post again today, asked friends all along the road & the same days I've had none this week (Mon, Weds, Fri & today) nobody has had any which is very unusual. Yes we had bad snow on Monday & last night but the roads are clear so really don't understand it. They had better bring me something nice on Monday lol, still waiting for my 'Tropical Sun?' vending machine prize - didn't other people get theirs quickly?2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please0

hiya ellemm :A sounds like you've had a fabby day :j
yes, had been been looking online past couple of days for something different to do in slowcooker as sometimes it gets a bit boring having the same stuff& found this :j
when i've tried it tomorrow will let you know what it's like
http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/crockpot_lasagna.html
1 large egg
1 15- to 16-ounce container part-skim ricotta
5-ounce package baby spinach, coarsely chopped
3 large or 4 small portobello mushroom caps, gills removed (see Tip), halved and thinly sliced
1 small zucchini, quartered lengthwise and thinly sliced
1 28-ounce can crushed tomatoes
1 28-ounce can diced tomatoes
3 cloves garlic, minced
Pinch of crushed red pepper (optional)
15 whole-wheat lasagna noodles (about 12 ounces), uncooked
3 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella,- Combine egg, ricotta, spinach, mushrooms and zucchini in a large bowl.
- Combine crushed and diced tomatoes and their juice, garlic and crushed red pepper (if using) in a medium bowl.
- Generously coat a 6-quart or larger slow cooker with cooking spray. Spread 1 1/2 cups of the tomato mixture in the slow cooker. Arrange 5 noodles over the sauce, overlapping them slightly and breaking into pieces to cover as much of the sauce as possible. Spread half of the ricotta-vegetable mixture over the noodles and firmly pat down, then spoon on 1 1/2 cups sauce and sprinkle with 1 cup mozzarella. Repeat the layering one more time, starting with noodles. Top with a third layer of noodles. Evenly spread the remaining tomato sauce over the noodles. Set aside the remaining 1 cup mozzarella in the refrigerator.
- Put the lid on the slow cooker and cook on High for 2 hours or on Low for 4 hours. Turn off the slow cooker, sprinkle the reserved mozzarella on the lasagna, cover and let stand for 10 minutes to melt the cheese.

The teddy pics are great ILC.
Glad you had a good day ellemm. It will be good having the girls to amuse each other. There are 9 boys in our closest family and they used to have a great time. My DD is the only girl though and was quite often left out. It is a shame flights are so expensive in the summer months. We used to go straight down to Manchester when our kids got their summer hols before the English kids got their hols but they tend to be on to that one now I think. We used to save hundreds on our package deals - did it for the October hols too. We don't have that problem for now anyway as DD is the only one still at school and she doesn't want to come with us.
Hope you have had a good Saturday FF.
Hope you get some nice mail on Monday PMS!Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Thanks fire**fly that looks pretty straightforward, look forward to hearing how it turns out.
I am also still waiting for Tropical Sun vending prize.
Yes sheils my SIL did look at Manchester flights as an alternative option but still very expensive, it's a shame for families and as my DD is a teacher she can only go during their hols. They thought of going at Easter hols for a week but second week in April where we are in Crete it would be pretty quiet and a bit chilly for swimming but could have got them cheap Ryanair flights, hey ho back to the drawing board.
Managed to get all the Real People comps done ILC0 -
S.Magie - Thanks for the heads up on the Times comp tomorrow:T
Sheils - hope you enjoyed your homemade soup lunchtime and your walk.
FireFly - the lasagna sounds a lovely change in the slow cooker would never have thought of it. Still waiting on curry hamper eventhough they promised it would be here this week and still not further with the washing machine. I am beginning to wonder if I will get the washing machine somehow, just have a funny fealing about it.
Wingo - well done on the goodie bag.
PMS - hope you get some interesting post soon.
iluvcats - some lovely pictures from you today - hope your groceries came OK
DD came and took us to Sainsbury's for a cuppa which was nice as Sister hasn't been able to get out because of the snow.
Got a nice bargain from Sainsbury's while I was there. A set of 4 Royal Botanical Gardens Bone China Mugs, reduced from £20 to £6.
We are going to watch In it to win it them Casualty as this is what Sister usually watches.
SYLBIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS0 -
Took DD to New Look today, she bought herself a bag in sale a few weeks ago & strap had come off it so she wanted me to go with her to change it. No more of this bag or any others she likes in the sale so 3 hoodies later & me £18 worse off she was happy lol, they should have been £14.99 each on promotion at £10.00 each then lady gave us a voucher for 5 off £25 spend, minus the £7.00 for the bag.2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please0
