    Afternoon all,

Been a busy few days so not been around much. Boys both having their afternoon naps so have had time for a little catch up :)

Has been a whirlwind of appts the last couple of days, some good, others not so, but i'm generally feeling pretty positive still at the moment. Had dentist and hair cut on Thursday. Can't quite get used to hair, it's very short. Have been tweaking it various ways but just not really me :( It'll be a small price to pay though and the macmillan nurse is getting the 'wig lady' to give me a shout. Maybe i'll go for some crazy blonde bombshell one :p

Yesterdays appt were better. Hospital to go through final paperwork and dos/don'ts ready to start the chemo on Monday and then a lovely manicure and pedicure courtesy of my work colleagues who'd had a collection for me :D

Am all set for a new way of life/diet next week. Apparently have to stick to the same sort of diet as during pregnancy to avoid risk of food poisoning when immune system is battered. So have enjoyed a runny egg sandwich for breakfast and will have a take away tonight :D Might even be tempted with a little glass of wine

Can tell I've been a bit pre occupied though. After working out a coupon shop yesterday and taking my mum to Tesco for glitchy wine, I had left all vouchers on the sofa  And then the wine was OOS :rotfl: Never mind though. Will have an excuse to go back soon. Managed to get some of the cheap pyjamas for mum and MIL on click and collect :p

    Shampoo Warning

I don't know WHY I didn't figure this out sooner!

I use shampoo in the shower.

When I wash my hair, the shampoo runs down my whole body, and

printed very clearly on the shampoo label is this warning:

    "FOR EXTRA VOLUME AND BODY."

No wonder I have been gaining weight!

Well! I have gotten rid of that shampoo and

I am going to start showering with Fairy Liquid instead.

    Its label reads,

"DISSOLVES FAT THAT IS OTHERWISE DIFFICULT TO REMOVE."

Problem solved! If I don't answer the phone, I'll be in the shower!
    :rotfl:

I never knew that, thanks Leenie:rotfl::rotfl::T

my o/h had to restrict his diet after transplant and now he cant have runny eggs and only 1 a week is recomended poched or scrambled (hes not best pleased bt undrestands also cant have any citrus fruits ) but to be honest we are now used to it and we have adapted well (i like to think so:D)

a friend of mums had to get a wig and was the quiet shy type of lady but she went for a pinky purply coulerd one and it very nice .

hope things are ok and get better aswell and nice to here your work collegues and family are supporting you :D

  • Good Afternoon to you all.

Hope those that were poorly are feeling better.
Hugs to those that need them.

Hope Logie is doing ok with the treatment. Hugs to you.

Iamsohappy, So sorry to hear such sad news. Life can be so cruel at times.

coreysnan, hope your son's GF makes a full recovery.

Haven't had time to get on here much over the last couple of weeks, so just read the last few pages and see that fingers/elizabeth shaw mints or G&B organic is working, so off to A later! Have been making hampers this morning and the G&B would finish them off nicely. Huge thank yous to every one who found and tested these shops. :T
