Just realised I've only got 2 weekends to sort out Christmas decorations out so youngest son has brought down some boxes from the loft so I can make a start.
Main problem is that I got masses of useful stocking fillers in Sainsburys long after Christmas, no idea where these are so this afternoon I have to take the house to bits to find them, hopefully all in one box. Even though all of mine are now young adults I still do Christmas stockings and these are a crucial part of the preparations.
I used up the last of my £2 finest mocs this morning and now can't find any more magazines  I got another dozen wines this morning, mixture as the store didn't have enough of the ones I wanted. Used up my conditional spends as well, next ones are not valid until Monday - how long is this wine sale on for?
I can't find any messages this morning confirming the choc is working today so I will go and check my recs from today, just coming up to 3 hours now.
The wine offer is on until Tuesday 4th I believe0 -
Well its all over now,
10 half years gone for nothing, I hate this Redundancy !!!!!!!!.
Well New Year new Job hopefully
look on and forward. Wonder if Sada are taking xmas staff ???? or even Mr T i could be the elite spy !!
This happened to me once at xmas time- I had the most miserable time but please do not feel the same way because I had a new job on the 9th January and stayed there for 4 years. Please see this as an opportunity- enjoy the short time you will have off. You are resourceful- being on this forum and contributing the way you do proves that. Put the feelers out in a big way that you are prepared to do anything and you will succeed. Meanwhile womble and glitch and keep your costs as low as poss (no need to tell you how to do that).never stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -

Cold here but sunny.
On the way home from school yesterday the kids wombled a cat with a broken leg. Phone call report to rspca and then I took it to the local vets. The vets transfered it to hospital. Rspca may have a report of it as lost. I'm going to phone the vets later and see how it is.
I won't be going shopping today as I'm too busy being Mum's taxi.
I wanted to put the tree up tonight and asked the kids if they wanted to help, I was told no because I won't let them put the decorations on where they want or use the coloured ones. Compromise they can have a tree decorated how they want in their rooms and I can have my carefully decorated one downstairs:D
Hugs to all who need them. Take care on the icey roads.
Hope everyone has a great day.
Awe hope the cat is ok Ditzy and that chipped so they can find its owners
My tree is in shed a 2ft one wont be getting it out didnt last year only thing christmassy i do is put cards up when they arrive and take them down boxing day :rotfl::rotfl:

Good morning and thanks again to emmlouie who let me know that Hastings T had 3 pallets of real magazines. Just been this morning and picked up ahemmm.... a few, and put some to immediate use for the finest wine deal.
6 @ 8.99 each less 25% less 3 x 5.98 ( because of 2 for 12.00 deal on some finest wine) less 3 x 2.00 real mag vouchers = about 2.75 per bottle of very nice wine. Happy bunny! For anyone else in the 1066 area, there are still plenty of magazines left, both upstairs and downstairs by escalators. Hope you all have a lovely day today.:)I am not young enough to know everything.0 -
