For anyone like me who wants to get keep their APG to below £10 but get more than just 2 shampoos and 1 cheapie how about this

    8 x Herbal Essences 200ml £8.00 £0.80
    1 x ASDA Smartprice Hair Gel (300ml) £0.15 £0.10

This would give you 8 shampoos and £7.34 towards your APG provided you buy at least 8 qualifying items

There are loads of HEs that are £1 in A, each one would count as one of your 8 qualifying items

so you dont need to buy 1 cheapie for each 2 other high value items?

    Morning all! :j
I did read everything- tricky day yesterday as big son was all packed up and taken off to start his academic year. My heart goes out to everyone who is seeing off kiddos in the next week or two. Really exciting, but more than a bit tough to say goodbye.:heartsmil

Love this! Hope you had a fab time yesterday JJ. We have a section of the freezer devoted to soft (wombled) fruits ;) and they make the best ice lollies as well!

Woohoo. Looks like its working still. Not been to asdas today. Maybe tomorrow after Alton Towers.... :j

Spent the day prepping foraged stuff. Free food I LOVE!

Would be great if it is still on tomorrow.

Going to the inlaws in a mo for FREE Sunday roast too:T

The 'fruits' of today's labour so far....

Foraged a few of these apple like rose hips yesterday on the way back from Asda along with a full carrier bag of gorgeous elderberries from a local beauty spot:

So today, I have spent over AN HOUR destalking elderberries and coring the hips:

I barely covered them with boiling water and simmered until they softened:

I'm gonna strain em in a jelly bag and maybe tonight make either or both: elderberry and rose hip jelly jam and/or cordial......

    Free food. Gotta love it:T

it's the best feeling in the world when you have money left at the end of the month.
We teetered on the edge for about 20 years, OH always earned just slightly too much for us ever to get benefits but we muddled through thanks to bargain hunting and MOcs etc.
I have an excel chart. In one column I list everything we have in the bank, in my purse, in :money:APGS/BMs /TPP, gift vouchers, gift cards, PayPal, amazon etc. On the right hand side I list everything due to be paid over the next month -cc bills etc. Then one total is taken from the other and that is our true 'worth' I update the chart 3 or 4 times a week and whoever a new bill looms so I always know exactly how we are doing.
Gradually we started turning a corner over the last 4 years and this year we actually have ISAs and 2 monthly savings accounts- the days of waking in the middle of the night worrying about bills are now in the past :
So for anyone struggling, it does eventually get better, you just have to keep plugging away
:T:T:T:T You are so right! :money:

I just checked quidco and thanks mainly to BS, Eliemis and Boots my £5 subscription has been covered and then some in the couple of weeks since I joined!

It looks like I'll be getting my first payment soon

Thanks to anyone who ever spoke about quidco as I only looked at it because people on here had good things to say about it
Don't forget to think of quidco with insurance quotes, phone contracts, and even bank accounts or credit cards. We have had some very healthy returns that make some deals (especially cheap phone contracts) nearly free.

and lastly on this early mega-post, before I hit sandwich land, today for the first time I am going to go to an Asda. Going to do some careful research first... and lots of reading back to make sure I get it right :)

Hope your day (and week!) is great! :T

Yes the results compare on the day you shopped. If it is a glitch receipt my suggestion is to print these asap. As if they fix the glitch you may find that your apg will not work correctly. :)

Thanks for this. I will print them immediately.

aussie 3 min miracle cond, take the heat shampoo, 3 min miracle colour deep treatment all worked for me.

    Morning early crew :)

Didn't realise that you were an A virgin Laura Cello - hope you have all the info you need and it it all goes as planned :)

This thread is fair zipping along - need to read back and catch up, so not sure if already mentioned, but the Waitrose meal deal is back on and the "glitch" still works with 3 sides and the wine, so possibility of free wine at whoopsie time if you can find any of the meal deal items reduced. Ends tomorrow I think.
