can i ask a dumb question, i have only just learnt to sell on ebay and complete newbie to the selling side

I have emptied the loft as we are getting it boarded up and need to clear loads of junk

Listed a few items on free listing weekend but was only allowed 10 items then :(

now they've upped my allowance i'm a bit confused as to what sort of starting price to put things on for

can you ebay veterans advise pretty pls?

am i likely to get more interest if i put the initial bid for 99p? obviously risk of selling at 99p then if no-one is interested

with large items that are for collection only obviously no P&P to bump up the price:p

    help!

With 'Collection Only' items, don't start bidding too low as your market will be smaller.

I try to list mine so that they finish on a Sunday or Monday, early evening, then people have time over the weekend to browse and put on 'Watch', if you leave it any later there's a chance that it will get forgotten so not so many bidders.

Re the start price, it depends on the market for that particular item - search the completed listings to gauge interest and look at their start prices and what price they achieved.
