"Darn what a place to find in Blighty. ... a seriously great place - terrific value - go there..."

2. And what was the name of the publication?

    1. Brendan Mullen, but I'm stuck with question 2, (Has been a very long day ...!)

Please Thank One-Eye below :) "The book which Brendan is referring to in his review above - which proved to be his last - was The Red Hot Chili Peppers: An Oral/Visual History"

Sorry, this is a dupe, the guy who runs Hideaways in Hay posted it himself a few days ago but I'm having trouble with my computer tonight and it won't let me scroll through easily to find the original thread...I think it might have been yesterday

You cannot blame the bloke for trying!!:beer:Holidays lets have been hit hard with the current situation..
  • Hi All - Sorry someone removed my post. It was not self promotion at all. It is just that you guys always find my competitions - so I thought I might just let you know when I am running one. Is that self promotion.....? Or just plain good manners.

Well the competition closes at Midnight on Thursday - so if you are free for the weekend of the 2 December .... here is your last chance to enter: hideaway winners dot com

What I was trying to do was to get you to play fair - and even with the other entrants - rather than have someone post the answers to the questions here, have you work them out for yourselves like all the rest... But Hey Ho!

Hi Michael and thanks for your comments :)

I didn't see your original post, but although you may not view posting details of your competition as self-promotion, that is how it is viewed by MSE (from forum rules here)

However, you can request that answers to your future competitions are not posted on MSE by sending a PM to VelvetGlove who keeps a list (here) of companies who prefer entrants to work out the answers for themselves.

    Hope this helps ;)

  • Thanks for getting me up to speed - and thanks for requesting that the answers are not posted publicly.
My intention is not to break rules here so I wonder if someone can help? - Is there an acceptable way for my letting you guys know when I am running a competition - or do I just leave it for one of you to find out by chance and then perhaps tell everyone else? How does that work?:j
