I can't believe we have someone asking if they can 3 bottles of wine, get the voucher and then return the wine. That is theft. And one way this whole thread could be pulled.

They will spoil it for others thats been greedy

Only thing is the Nivea Cream some people have reported it came back as n/f and its a hefty price to lose out on! I was gonna try it but at 5.21 I figured I could buy something else that I knew worked!
Mine came back as compared and gave me £8.42 DTD on that one item alone, by far the best item still out there.
I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing! ;)

just got back from T and used my voucher to buy a couple more DTD things.
SA called over supervisor/manager and she said to me she'd seen them before and looked at the till screen then said, You've purposely got these things knowing they are more expensive in Tesco than Asda, don't come again with your reciept and don't input in the price checker, because we're on to you, we've had loads of people doing this.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
I was reallly running late so had to jst say errr...ok but did manage through her brawl to say what if I genuinely wanted these things ( I did and was going to buy most anyway!) she said yh but we're onto you!:(
    .....................
the DTD is huge fiasco for Tesco and they are losing enormous amount of money ... in my store (extra) they were withdrawing products as a matter of emergency and lowered a lot of prices ... I was not able to get my coffee, because at the till I was told it should not be on the shelf ... and yes I am exploiting the system ... so what ... don't put a system prone to so many problems in place and don't proudly and repetetively state how you will DTD if you are more expensive than ASDA ...

What really annoys me is it's Soooooo easy for Tesco to avoid this make sure those 9000 prices ARE cheaper. It's all well and good moaning about people taking the pee but if your prices were cheaper you'd not be paying out - simples!

I find it incredibly hard to believe that programmers at Tesco cannot write a simple program to rip the prices from Asda's website when they update and automatically change them on their EPOS systems, in fact i'd wager a child could write said program.

I said right from the start "THIS WON'T LAST LONG"

Despite all the advertising on TV, in the press and all the in-store signs Tesco will pull this DTD very soon.

THEY HAVE TO, and the idiot that came up with this concept will be on Job-seekers allowance very soon.

They've painted themselves into a corner. They have no choice.

They've already indicated as much in the comment posted earlier that the PriceChecker will not return until "the offer/promotion is over"

They have FUBB on an unprecedented scale and are about to become the ridicule of ASDA, Sainsbury's, Morrisons etcetera. The entire supermarket industry :rotfl:

Anyone see how it is possible they can change the terms of how you shop in store ?
IF there is a BOGOF - YOU MUST BUY 2 :rotfl:
They CANNOT offer a BOGOF on any product that is HALF-PRICE at ASDA
£4 at TESCO and BOGOF ... but just £2 at ASDA - an impossible marketing concept with DTD.

Minimum purchases and maximum DTD items ...
    Must buy 10 different items

    well that already doesn't work.
Only "payout DTD" on 2 or 3 of the items of the 10+ in your basket ?
Maybe those with the GREATEST DTD!
    That won't work either :rotfl:

eg.SMIRNOFF £18 at Tesco but £10 at ASDA
The 9 other items in the basket ? THE NINE CHEAPEST THINGS you can find in store.
    LOOSE PRODUCE :rotfl:
    1 potato (very small) - 2p
    1 mushroom (very small) - 6p
    A reduced price loaf - 15p
Tin of Value Range Curry sauce - 7p

etc. etc. etc. - So the 9 items cost a couple of quid - they STILL have to give you back £16 for the VODKA making it £2 a bottle.

SO - THEY CAN'T CHANGE THE WAY YOU SHOP ! (If they can - tell me how?)

OK then so what else ?
(Several of you have posted that they should do this)

REDUCE THEIR PRICES - Make them THE SAME as ASDA !!!

    DOESN'T WORK

MAKE THEM CHEAPER THAN ASDA -

DOESN'T WORK EITHER - EVEN MORE SO !!!!

    WHY ???

    ASDA's 10% GUARANTEE

IF ALL the Tesco prices are the SAME or CHEAPER than ASDA .......

... then there is NO DTD ...

... BUT WHY WOULD ANYONE SHOP at TESCO ?

You buy everything at ASDA and get 10% back :) ....

... making everthing at Tesco 10% more expensive than Asda whatever the price.

So NO TESCO CUSTOMERS AT ALL - that's an even worse marketing stratedgy :)

    PULLING THE PLUG

How embarassing - they'd definitely be riduculed.
I can already see the Chief Exec's at ASDA :j :j :j all over the place
and the ASDA Marketing Strategists pi$$ing themselves and :rotfl: :rotfl: wondering how Tesco could have got it all wrong.

DO TESCO HAVE A WAY OUT ?

HOW ABOUT .....EVERY Tesco price is made to 5.2% MORE than Asda's

It's not perfect but it's close.

If £10 at ASDa then £10.52 at TESCO

You claim DTD and get 2 x 52p back so the cost of the product is £9.48

IF you buy it at ASDA you've paid £10 BUT this is NOT 10% CHEAPER than Tesco
    10% of £10.52 is £1.052

So ASDA "SHOULD" have sold it to you at £9.47 (£10.52 - £1.05) ...
You do the ASDA price check routine and GET 55p back

It's still an almighty C0CK-UP and ALL of TESCO's Prices would be DELIBERATELY :rotfl: HIGHER THAN ASDA's until the DTD voucher is claimed ....

... but at least they will still have customers coming IN through their doors .....

... and NOT MARCHING OUT AGAIN WITH 1000's of pounds worth of goods THAT THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO PAY FOR !!! :rotfl:

And they better have an eagle-eyed team of Asda Price watchers - ready to adjust their prices the minute ASDA does!
OTHERWISE it will just start ALL OVER AGAIN :D

A Tesco quote from the Price Check page "Of course we’re confident you will find your shopping cheaper at Tesco" ....

... SO MUCH SO, that they've REMOVED THEIR OWN Price Check listings that showed TIME AND TIME AGAIN THAT THEY WERE NOT ...

... AND sometimes BY  HUGE  AMOUNTS

They've made themselves a laughing stock :rotfl:

And just think of the NEW TESCO SLOGAN :)

"GUARANTEED TO BE 5.2% MORE EXPENSIVE THAN ASDA"

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Of course there IS AN ALTERNATIVE - where TESCO can keep the DTD offer EXACTLY as it is ......

DON'T SELL ANYTHING THAT ASDA DOES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are 10 types of people in the world. ‹(•¿•)›

A few pages back was Hawaiian Tropic at £12; well in mine last night it was priced at £6 so no DTD on that.
