SS's 2007 Debt Free Challenge

OK folks. We've got a little project going on!

We all know there are companies trying to cash in on peoples debt problems by charging for DMP's etc. Well now there is a way to fight back.

Basically when you do a search for 'CCCS' on google it brings up paid for links that aren't the CCCS. One of them is a blatant copy and Martin has actually given evidence on behalf of the proper CCCS to Google. But they are still there!

Now everytime you click on these links it costs the companies money that they have to pay Google. They set themselves limits on to how much they will payout before their ad disappears for the rest of the day/week/month etc.

Now although we will be making Google some money (boo) it will mean if we hit these links enough the adverts will disappear so anyone searching for CCCS or whatever else will have less chance of coming face to face with one of these fee charging scumbags.

Now this will only work if we get large numbers hitting these links as often as possible. It takes 10 seconds to do so lets try and make it a daily chore! :T

We're trying to find out how frequent we need to do it! I reckon once a day should be enough, although there are a few to be clicked but no more than a minutes work a day!

Yeah basically hun. We hit all the sponsored links which are in a really light pink box then once they've taken enough hits (which costs them money ) then they disappear!

Just paid another £175 off the Barclaycard which will take that under the £1k mark.

It also means I've paid £1,522.42 to my debts this month! :eek:

I seem to be proper flush at the moment! :rotfl: I know that will all change next month though! :rolleyes:

My ebay stuff is now up to £212 aswell. Need to get a load more stuff on before Christmas aswell. Got loads of bits knocking about that I want to get rid of.

Also I've got a camcorder but I'm unsure whether to put it up! :undecided

Basically if I do it means I can't watch my old holiday videos. Not that I ever do! But it just means I can't! Unless I can get them on my PC somehow! :think:

Hmmm, will have to think about that one!

Anyway, yeah so by the end of the month the Barclaycard will be under £1,000 which was my target. Now to think of one for December. Any other month and I'd say clear the Barclaycard but it's an expensive one! I'll have to do my sums a week or so in coz I'll know where I am more!
