Fathers day gifts

Just realised it's Fathers Day on Sunday :eek: in true old style I guess everyone is really organised and has made/ encouraged the kids to make gifts. So, What have you made for your Dad/OH?

My idea is to make my Dad a big mixture of cookies.

I need so cheap ideas for a gift my son can make for his dad and one for me to give my dad. :think:
Really low on funds so need to be a bit creative.

A cheap, but appreciated gift for FD is vouchers for services. Think of something that the dads really hate to do and mock up a voucher for that eg mowing the grass, washing the car, cleaning out the junk cupboard (oh come on, you know you've got one) etc. Alternatively, you can do vouchers like "good for one cake of your choice to be baked by yours truly" or "good for one picnic".

I got grass cutting for Mother's Day and was well chuffed...

I have never used this site but it is suppose to let you make fun vouchers and then print them from what I gather from the site.

I'm making my Dad a selection of home made goodies - the sort of thing that now costs a fortune from specialist shops ... a little jar of lemon curd, a 5 seed loaf, some flapjack, some ginger beer .... and a home made card (I'll probably tuck a bottle of wine in as well - not home made 'cause I haven't started my wine project yet). Ginger beer and lemon curd already made, will make the loaf and flapjack at the end of the week.

I used the £3 male grooming vouchers to get my dad some FCUK minatures. And then I'm making him a cake! And it true monsysaving style I've put the marzipan and icing on his shopping list! (I can't make icing myself; it never ever sets until about a week later). And I'm decorating it with ducks! He won't approve of the cake, but I will.

HM fudge; HM peppermint creams, "Old Age Pills" (M&M's in an old pill bottle, with HM label) ... can you tell my dh is a foodie :rotfl:

My daughter has just appeared at the sitting room door to show me the card she's made for Dad, she's done a nice job but she went to bed at 8pm! Looks like another morning of dragging her out of bed

I only get a pressie for Little Filigree to give his Dad, this year I got a free coffee maker with a La Redoute code! Unfortunately there's no time for anyone else to order before Sunday.

Anyone got any suggestions for home made goodies for a Dad who is allergic to sugar (and consquently doens't like sweet things as he has never developed a sweet tooth, so no sugar substitues please!) I can only think of savoury scones & cheese straws

I'd quite like to make him somthing diffrent this year.
