PS3 and low price don't really go hand in hand but you could try and do at I did when I preordered my Wii.
I preordered at HMV and got a games reward card to put the points on (giving me about £15 off any game). Just before I paid, I got a store card and put the payment on it, giving me 10% off. I also didn't have to pay for 120 days.
However, I did hear that they are planning on stopping the games reward card and i'm not sure if the credit limit on the store card stretches to the cost of a PS3, I suggest you check in store.
Or you could just buy a Wii and an 360 and a small island for the same price
