When I got mine, I went into the store and they had 1 for delivery the day after. I went to the Customer Services counter and they just reserved it for me there and then.

When I was going into the stores to see if it was in, they kept on telling me to ring the number to reserve one and were shocked when I told them you couldn't do that for this item.

Don't know if this is any help.

I got mine by phoning the argos ring and reserve line. I used my VOIP provider as it is an 0870 number or use Saynoto0870.

I then punched in the number from the catalogue, the code ( in the catalogue) for my local and not so local stores.

Took me about half an hour but managed finally to get a store which had one in stock. reserved it and picked up using the the reserve code.

When you phone up it tells you cannot reserve the item until you find a store that has one in stock.
