Hi whats my best options.
I want to buy two corner sofas from IKEA. I want to either pay nothing for 12 months (like dfs) or get some kind of interest free credit.
I don't mind the paying of the sofas, but i don't like paying interest.
SOmeone suggested IKEA usually do a 12 months interest free in the summer - anyone know of that's right?
Cheers

Hi icw,
I've moved your thread over to to the Shop but don't drop board where you should get more help with your query.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

Hi. We bought a suite from DFS on the 'pay nothing for a year' deal, making sure we put away money into savings so we didn't have to pay interest. One thing to remember: they won't remind you when your money is due to be paid! They are hoping you'll forget and that it will slip quietly into the time when you have to pay interest. Make a note to pay it up about a month before it is due, so that you don't get caught out. They don't make it simple for you to pay, so allow plenty of time to make sure you have all the details of how to pay.
So long as you ensure your payment gets to them in plenty of time it's fine - and much nicer to have the interest on the savings yourself in the meantime.0 -
Thanks for that.
Unfortunately the two I want (Ektorp corner sofa and Karlstad corner sofa) are both IKEA products.
Mind you does anyone know where I might get discount if I buy more than 1 sofa?0 -

With all the credit problems recently I think they may now have to remind you.
Back to the OPs original question - according to their website
The only financing option IKEA offers is the IKEA Home Card. Read more about it on the page that I am opening for you now and apply on-line.

12 months interest free credit on any seating purchase*
Offer valid in store only from 2nd November to 20th December, 2009.
No idea whether they'll repeat it this year though - you could always try emailing them via their contact_us page.0 -

I'm glad they've changed that. I did wonder how many people just forgot & then got charged. The salesman did tell us that we wouldn't be reminded.0 -
How about just getting an interest free credit card? What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
