Free coverage for Labour courtesy of taxpayers money & media influences at the moment and the Cons & Libs have got to spend big time to get noticed.
It is a balance of resources campaign & Labour have the deepest pockets.
First of all the PM is not delaying anything. He does not have to call the election until June. If he calls it before then he is pulling it forward.
The media are still, to a degree, dancing to Labours tune but then with Mandy and Campbell back in the saddle then it is not hard to see why. Labour are exceptionally good media managers.
I have never bought into the BBC Biased argument however when you look at how they covered the political situation this week you have to wonder.
The PM was exposed this week as having lied at PMQ's and lied to the Chilcot enquiry. The activities of Unite were scrutinised and The Guardian even ran a story to the effect that Number 10 had been forced to step in to stop UNITE placing its preferred candidates in a whole host of safe seats. This got a small amount of coverage on the BBC. It got far more coverage on C4 and ITV. Indeed, Nick Robinson interviewed Charlie Whelan about the accusations and the interview was hardly rigorous. It was extremely tame.
However the Beeb chose to give the Select Committee Ashcroft stitch-up a prominence, on Thursday, it did not merit. It was the top story on the radio 4 news bulletins. Okay they can do that if they want. However the news was not balanced. It was happy to let Labour Peer Lady Dean ramble about how she felt she had been misled by Ashcroft (no facts at all) and ignored Sir Hayden Phillips evidence that Ashcroft had done nothing wrong and the civil servants had not understood the implications of what was going on.
No doubt the BBC, remembering the heady days of the empty champagne bottles littering broadcasting house after the 1997 election, have some more champagne on ice. Their coverage at the moment is very very iffy."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."
"I could play all day in my Green Cathedral".

I think I can stick up for myself thanks very much.
When someone is a w a n k er you just call them that.
Spartibollox has started to PM me...
What a knob....
Only to ask what my other posting ID is, as per your rather witless assertion. Nothing wrong with that surely ?
Care to answer the question I asked ?
I PM'd you as I did not want to clog the board up with it. Odd you moan about others being bullies but are happy to assume the role yourself. Odd you whine when you are called for your thoughtless, ill-considered, posting style yet you resort to numerous ad hominems. I have not insulted you personally once. You are a strange character. You really need to post sober more. I do not think your drunken insulting ramblings are very becoming."There's no such thing as Macra. Macra do not exist."

Now don't encourage him. The only thing worse than a drunk is a violent drunk. :rotfl::rotfl:
He will wake up with a sore head in the morning but I expect he is used to that.

Obviously. The BBC is political correctness and champagne socialism par excellence. It fits the New Labour agenda perfectly.
The BBC is not capable of proper criticism of this government, despite its criminal actions in leading the country into war and its campaign against civil liberties. Its attempts at imitating the Washington Post's uncovering of Watergate with the dodgy dossier/Gilligan affair was spectacularly crushed by Campbell and the other New Labour goons and the subsequent Stalinist like purging of the BBC's top ranks.
The BBC knows that the Tories will force the BBC to downsize, and they probably realise the Tories want payback for the unfavourable light they were portrayed in during the halcyon days of Blair's premiership.0
