Lose weight the Easyweigh

I read Allen Carr's Stop smoking book last week and I am now a non smoker :j

But have started reading his Easyweigh book and really can't get my head around it

Has anyone else tried to lose weight with it and succeeded ?

All thoughts and experiences appreciated :D

I have the book and dip in and out of it regularly. I think he talks a lot of sense and he is pretty straight-talking. He repeats things a lot and then it kind of "clicks" (with me at any rate!;) )

Well done for quitting Sugarplum - it's the BEST feeling ever when you do it isn't it and you realise you are FREE!! I wouldn't trade that feeling of freedom for any number of cigarettes. Marvellous!:j Also, smokers think smoking relaxes you but I can categorically say that you are a million times more relaxed once you have quit the habit. Smoking just makes you permanently want the next one.
  • Ive just bought the book and read the first 20 pages last night... looks good! I really hope it works as my only remaining option is hypnotherapy.
  • I read it. Some things did make sense to me - especially the thing of not overfueling your body. But didn't really impact on my behaviour so much - sorry!

Oh I LOVED his smoking book. In fact, I bought ONLY Way, which is similar...just longer I think. I can stil remember my Eureka moment...:D

Sadly, I caved in whilst boozy and had a fag on holiday last year....so, the nature of the trap means I was straight back onto 20 the next day. I have now cut down (which I know you shouldn't do.....) to five a day. However, I am very 'aware' of every cig I have and am determined to stop again. I wonder if the book works second time around?

Anyway - back to the subject - my life is ruled by food - what I can and can't eat.... what I can and can't eat together, how many points in this.... and I am a chocoholic. I yoyo diet and weight goes up and down regularly by about a stone. So I would love to know if this book works.

Is it based on the same premise by the way......? Will I find myself one night having half a kit kat, and next thing I know I'm face down in a chocolate trifle :D

He said to make my three healthy meals during the day, including a good breakfast. Skipping meals causes increased hunger and may lead to excessive snacking.

For Workout he said that Exercise about 30 to 60 minutes each day. If time is limited, exercise for several brief periods throughout the day for example, three 10-minute sessions rather than one 30-minute session. A good lifting program should consist of compounds lifts (squats, deadlift, rows, pullups, chinups, bench press, etc. Google compound lifts). Compound lifts are beneficial due to their utilization of several muscle groups at a time, their development of stabilizing muscles, and their translation into functionality into the real world. Often times, people will revolve their workout plan around upper body alone. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. To get strong, be in shape, and lose weight, you must utilize compounds movements that will utilize upper body, back, and lower body on a regular basis. When you lift for your legs and back, your body creates the biggest hormone response that will promote muscle growth. I've heard it said that, essentially you some people squat for big arms.
