Items show up as "in stock" when they get stock in, these are allocated to pre-orders first on a first-come first-served basis. In the case of the Xbox 360, they are currently fulfilling orders from early October so don't expect it anytime soon.
P.S this is how many online stock systems work (like Amazon and Play). If you want more accurate stock availability you should always call CS.0
