50p a day til christmas, healthily?!-Weezl's next challenge (part 2)

maybe I should create a mini 'me' challenge to try and conciously(sp) eat five fruit and veggis of all different colours...hmm, get the feeling this maybe called life:rolleyes: .
I started that oneIt began at weekends when we have the stepkids coz their meals with their mum don't seem to feature much veg unless you count chips and spaghetti hoops
I made it my personal challenge to get as much veg into meals as I possibly could (most of it hidden in pasta sauces or shep pie etc).
Then I realised I didn't actually always eat my 5 a day in the week so started eating soaked oats, raisins and chopped banana each morning - that gives me 2 as a starting point
Gone a bit by the wayside again so need to look back at it again with all the sniffs and sniffles time of year coming upworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
I've just had my placed confirmed with the OU! My tutorials will be on Saturday mornings, which is usually my time for domestic blitz! (Weekly home blessing hour, meal planning, shopping, batch cooking) Yikes!
I have been, ahem, "fluttering", for a while now on the tidiness frontbut have just realised I am really going to have to get some proper routines in place in order to get everything done.

I have my share of UFO's too (unidentified frozen objects) - usually things DH has brought home from the butchers - but since he's got into fishing he keeps his bait in the freezer too (not maggots fortunately)weaving through the chaos...0 -
Mrs M that yarn shop is FANTASTIC! :j
I'm not a gadget person but anything crafty is my weakness - there are so many bargains on that site, I can see what I'll be looking at all evening tonight - if I can drag myself away from it now of course.weaving through the chaos...0 -

Hello peeps!!
Can someone help me ? I want to post a picture on here, but when I use imageshack the picture doesn't show up and you all have to click a link which seems like a pain inthe proverbial to me, so can someone who is clever tell me how to actually get a picture to appear in here?
Thank you all in advance and hope you are all having a great day - I just wanted to show off a strange shaped tomato I found in the garden... thought it might make people smile.:D
We had corned beef casserole last night and it was delicious and even my sceptical OH who didn't think he would like hot corned beef, really loved it.

Hi diva
When I use imageshack - i go into "my images" then click on the pic i want and then click on "get code for forum" it should show 2 lots of URLetc... I click on the top one then hold "ctrl and c" -to copy then come over to here and click "ctrl and V" to paste the pic....
it should give you a small pic -but folks can click on it to get a bigger pic-hope that makes sense
Phizzmum-the guy on the other end of the phone is sooo nice n helpful -he reckons they can't get it in quick enough for all the sales..

This site:

has a recipe for apple and sloe jelly.
I have used sloes in a hedgerow jam combined with equal amounts of blackberries and elderberries and using 12oz sugar to every pound of fruit, plus the juice of a lemon to every pound of fruit.
The only problem was getting the stones out when the fruit had cooked. In future I think that I shall put the sloes in a piece of muslin, cook them with the other jam ingredients and then either strain or sieve them into the whole before adding the sugar.
You can add chopped hazel or cob nuts to the jam as well, but if you are going to be picking out stones add the nuts after you have finished to avoid confusion!0 -
