tiramisu recipe 22nd Mar 08 at 4:41 PM
does anyone have a recipe for a tiramisu that doesnt require mascapone cos ive been shopping and got everything i need but couldnt get this ingredient.

i can either make it another time if this ingredient is crucial or leave it out/substitute with something else.

your help would be very much appreciated.

I've used cream cheese (Philadelphia type) in place of mascapone and it's worked OK.

Yes cream cheese works very well indeed, or fromage frais.
Im looking for a man - a real man, one who gets home, slams his fist on the table and thunders,"Woman, run the hot water, I want to do the dishes!"
