Jubilant January's NSD Challenge! 31st Dec 19 at 11:29 AM
This challenge is about setting yourself a weekly/monthly target of how many No Spend Days you would like to achieve during January. To join, just post your personal target and you are on your way!

    Tips for the challenge:
    1. Decide on a clear goal weekly or monthly of how many No Spend days you'd like to try and achieve.

    2. It is fine to exclude necessary expenses eg petrol, groceries, pet food, etc, when it comes to deciding what is and isn't an NSD.

    3. It does help to post every time you notch up an NSD ... it's easy to lose track! If you want to keep track of your NSDs in your MSE signature, that can be really motivating too

    4. It also helps to subscribe to the thread ... that way you get a daily email reminder so you don't lose motivation

    5. NSDs are trickier than they seem and easily derailed. It makes the challenge much easier if you notch up as many as you can in the first half of the month.

Can’t count today as the NSD as planned, needed some stuff for my voluntary work, so had to pay for that. It’s for a really good cause so I don’t mind breaking my NSD for it xx

Apologies for the quick sporadic posts - working all hours at the moment but not spending much!

No spending yet this week - think I updated to Monday?? Anyway, I am on 9/15 and no plans (or time!) to spend anything until at least the weekend but won't count my chickens just yet ...

    yesterday was our 10th NSD!

Not sure how to count today - Husband is on a trip with work and will be buying lunch for himself, he could have taken a packed lunch but his work reimburses his costs in full so he wanted to eat with his work friends (it's a team building day)

So money will be coming out of the bank which didn't have to which would normally definitely not class as an NSD, but he's only doing it because the money will be back in the bank by Monday...

What would you guys class it as?
