Apologies if we have a new thread but I can't find it anywhere! I loved the 'what's in your SC today' thread for meal ideas and inspiration.

I'm hoping to use my 3.5l SC 3x a week at least as it saves time and money for us and it brilliant for feeding everyone a hot meal when we have all been out at work/school

Today I have chilli in mine all ready to go. Half will be used for tea next week and half will be frozen so I have some as back up for the days we can't get cooking.

I tend to use the same meals over and over but they are well loved family favourites, happy to try some new ideas out (have been looking at doing a full English breakfast one day!)

I hope we can revive this thread as I think with the winter months fast approaching it is a great way to feed the family in less

Who has something in the SC today?

A pheasant casserole to be made in mine tomorrow, perhaps a chicken and mushroom filling for a pie in the 1.5 litre one as well.

Any good sausage casserole slow cooker recipes please?

I need to start using my slow-cooker a lot more soon, I just accepted a new job which means my daughter will have to help herself to dinner a few nights a week. I’m thinking the slow cooker will be my friend for this.

Is there a link for Slow Cooker Recipes at all?

Also.....years ago now, I'm sure there used to be a Monthly Menu Planner where people used to show their planned menus for the month.
I've searched extensively, but I can find a thread for either.
If there is/are and someone could point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it 🙂

Quick visit to say what we had today.
I put a pack of low fat mince, chopped onion, some frozen mixed veg, two beef oxos, a heaped teaspoon of veg stock powder, a tin of chopped tomatoes all in the slow cooker, all mixed together and left it on high as it was 2.30pm when I started it. All cooked and ready to serve with some spaghetti at 6pm. Didn't have parmesan to go on top, so popped some Baby Bels in the freezer to firm up and grated one on top.
We all enjoyed it and there's some left for lunch tomorrow.

Hippeechiq, if you do an advanced search, up near the top right in the green bar, and search for old style recipes, you will find a list of recipes and, on another post, a list of books and websites which will help you.

Turkey meatballs (initially browned in a wok) with a jar of garlic tomato sauce, mushrooms, onion and broad beans. Served with some steamed veh. Leftovers frozen in portions for work.
If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Made a sausage casserole in mine today - finished work at 3, but with taking courtesy car back and picking up new car I didn’t get back until 5:30 so was a welcome thing to get home to. Made a big Yorkshire pud in the skillet in the oven to go with it. DD and I well fed
