Santander blocked salary deposit 14th Jun 19 at 8:14 PM
    Please help!
I have been paid today by my long term employer into my Santander current account that Iíve had for years and Santander are holding the payment while they Ďinvestigateí the transaction.
    Is this legal?
Iím so angry and inconvenienced by this, thru arenít giving me a date for when it will be released or what they are investigating.

Banks can and do hold payments for "security checks" but suddenly to raise a query about a regular salary payment seems odd.

Has there been unusual activity on your account?

Is there anything unusual or different about this salary payment?

It’s almost double usual as I’ve been paid a bonus. Same time every year though.

    Of course its legal.

Dont you have other money in the account for you to use ?

Its always a good idea to have a secondary account to use in situations like this.
