NHS banding 16th May 19 at 10:24 PM
I was a top band 5, 15.44 per hour now a new band 6 15.53 - I lost my lump sum 265 today they are claiming it back also my bank shifts have been back dated to when I officially got the job. This means I no longer bank as a band 5 top scale but actually just below middle 12.50 per hour, so they are claiming 185 back also this month. But my 9p an hour will be added

I'm gutted. This month they are taking 350 out of my wage and giving me 24 for my new job. I feel awful

Any advice, how to argue perhaps. I just seems wrong

Did you not realise when you took the band 6 job.

can you up your job hours so you don't need to do the bank.

The lump sum only applies to people at the top of the band in post on a set day (assume you were in the new post at that point) so potentially you were not entitled to it.

You could argue that you want to repay it over a longer period?

How can it impact your bank pay point?

I don't understand that? Surely they haven't moved you from 23 to 24(?) and are then paying your bank hours at 19?

    Is this NHSP?

So, as I'm not a band 5 the shifts I've picked up extra since being offered the post everyone goes the middle of the pay rate

But I've been told I can now put it for those shifts to be paid at my new band 6 rate.

So confusing .... Thanks for replying tho guys
