Easter 2025 I知 coming to get you! 24th Apr 19 at 7:32 PM
OK so that maybe slightly optimistic but you have to dream big!

I致e been reading these for a while and decided it was time to go public instead of lurking; hopefully I can keep up with it and keep motivated. I have a mortgage which is not huge but I still have one. Originally 」80,000 in November 2015 and as of tonight stands at 」62,919.93, which does mean in the last 3 1/2 years I致e paid off 」17,030.07. The current redemption date is 11th November 2031 as it is a 16 year mortgage with 12 1/2 years left but I would love to pay it off in six years, hence Easter 2025 in the title.

I知 a single parent to a small boy and although I don稚 earn masses I do ok. I live fairly frugally because that suits me and the mortgage is my only debt. I want to get rid of it while the boy is small and fairly cheap to run as the bigger he gets the more he will cost me. There is a kind of fuzzy end plan as to how I will spend my mortgage free time but I致e got six years to firm that up.

So that痴 why I知 here, doing this on my own for me and my fuzzy end plan . Thanks for reading and good luck to all you mortgage free wannabes x

Thanks to everyone for their support and good wishes . I am now having to re educated myself in the post 16 study choices available to year 11 students (even had to google what age they are!) at the UK痴 largest land based college. I致e got 10 minutes to grab their attention, well the interview panel pretending to be year 11 students, and make them consider the college as a fantastic choice for their post 16 study. I feel a mind map/post it notes and process chart coming on along with a collection of note cards. Not only are there so many different levels of diplomas available (with very similar names) even the GCSE grading has changed and as I知 an O level girl I壇 only just got my head round that! Back in the olden days when I was at school this college was where you went if you were a farming family but oh my how it has changed! Steep learning curve but looking forward to the challenge and hoping the effort will be worthwhile

Evening all (anyone else remember Dixon of Dock Green?). Mortgage DD went out yesterday so it dropped to 」61,465 with interest charged at 」141.66. This means my daily interest is now 」4.58, a drop of 5p per day. I also moved my first marble! I知 working on every 」500 and as it dropped below the 61,500 I moved one. Got to pay the credit card and childcare bill so need to move a few funds and tomorrow is shopping day so aiming to stay below budget.
Looks like a wet day in store so will do inside jobs which will hopefully include some batch cooking. Realised I have five tins of chickpeas in the cupboard so maybe chickpea surprise

My heating clicked on this morning Done the shopping, 」3 over budget but loads to batch cook for the freezer. Just done a 」2 Prolific survey which will take me over the 」20 mark so I値l do a Circle payout and add that to the mortgage. Washer on although how long it will take to dry goodness knows as it痴 a load of towels. Quick clean up and hoover through and really need to get a colour on my hair. Presentation still to work on, lots of info just need to put it in the right order and make it not sound so dry. Need to check out job spec again and form some answers to potential questions. I have another week to prepare and hopefully next Wednesday won稚 be so cold and damp.

Going to pick the first of my rhubarb today and do a crumble for tea, fingers crossed it tastes nice and isn稚 都tringy

definitely not going to bed. I am at the end of my tether with it all as I致e tried explaining there痴 only me to do everything and I can稚 get on with the jobs until he痴 in bed. Tonight he watched me mop the floors downstairs and then promptly slipped on the wet floor as he was too busy messing around and following me about. He went to bed by himself when I came up to my room and shut my door as I had online banking to do. I知 sure he値l grow out of it but I知 going to start confiscating some of his favourite toys as punishment to see if that works.

Paid some bills and ordered his school trousers for next September. M & S have their 20% off uniform event on and I致e got 」15 vouchers so 4 pairs have cost me 」5.80. Just set up the circle pay with my account details for it to tell me the service is being withdrawn on 8th July, anyone else aware of this? It looks like they are setting some new service which looks very corporate and fake currency that is then transferred to dollars. Anyway Prolific let me set up Circle as a payout method but sadly it looks like PayPal May end up being the only method possible hope I致e misinterpreted it all but Circle pay definitely said to withdraw funds from your account by 8th July.

Rhubarb crumble was nice, very tart!

I just got my free cash out done and I’m thinking I might just do a final cash out and pay fees before the 8th deadline, which I think might be Friday 5th July in the morning to catch the Friday afternoon payment. At least their fees are lower than PayPal. Sadly it looks like I’ll have to get a paypal account. I worked out a 」20 payout with PayPal will cost me 78p (2.9% + 20p fee). Wish they did BACS payments like TCB.
