Chest Freezer too cold? 16th Apr 19 at 11:25 AM
Our chest freezer in the garage is making a lot of ice / snow around the top sides, sometimes under the seal where the door closes.

I have scraped it off a fair few times recently, but I dont think I am sorting the problem.

What should I be doing? I adjusted the * sign from the big star to a smaller one to see if that helps..

Sounds like the seal might be leaking, and letting in moist air which is condensing. Go all the way round with a piece of paper and see if it's trapped by the seal.
Don't pile stuff on the freezer lid, or overfill the freezer so the lid can't shut.
A freezer thermometer is cheap off eBay or similar to check the thermostat is working correctly.

There's no such thing as too cold for a freezer, it's -18 or colder. As above, check seals. Moist air is getting in & freezing.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.
