Child Benefit Penalty Fines 15th Apr 19 at 5:28 PM
    Hi All

About 2 years ago I was contacted by HMRC and told that I needed to repay Child Benefit that I had been receiving as I was now earning over the threshold - long storey and they agreed that there was some mitigating circumstances however they still had to impose fines (although reduced from 10% to 5%)

Last year I read that they (HMRC) had reviewed their position on this and were reviewing and would refund those who had been fined.

Has anyone heard from HMRC yet about this? I can't find anything about contacting them and all they appear to have said is that there is no need to contact them??

    All help gratefully received

We will issue the refunds, where due, over the next six months.
