    Make up to 10 a day January 2019 31st Dec 18 at 1:47 PM
    Hello and welcome everybody

So, new year, new financial goals! Let’s see what we can achieve together in 2019.

This is the 137th month of this challenge, which was first started by Batgirl, in September 2007. Here is a link to the original thread as I am sure some of you are interested to read where it all began.

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=542835

Thanks to Batgirl for starting it and for everyone who has kept it going for 11 years! I would especially like to thank Aesop who ran the thread for the last few years.

The original purpose of this challenge was to help people to try and make an extra 10 a day on top of their normal income to help things along. Ie paying off debt, making savings, paying for holidays, overpaying mortgages etc.

That is exactly what this challenge is about, attempting to make extra income on top of your normal income to help you wherever you need it.

People start the challenge by setting a goal of 1 a day. Then when they find they are smashing this regularly, they up it to 5 a day. Some of us gluttons for punishment go for 10 a day. It really is entirely up to you. We only ask you to post what your goal is to help you keep motivated. Some days you make more and some days you make less, but aim for extra at the end of the month.

    What cannot be added:
    Wages from your main job

    What can be added:
    Overtime
    Income from a second job
    Daily clicks
    Interest
    Vouchers
    Mystery shopping
    Survey income
Profit from selling on eBay etc
    Cashback
And lots of other ways too

The idea is that everyone posts how they are making extra money and these shared ideas help all of us to learn new ways to help cut debt or earn/save money.

This board can move pretty quickly, so be sure to subscribe and read it regularly.

So who wants to join us?

    Official MoneySavingExpert insert, 18 Jan:

For more ideas on ways to earn extra cash, please see the Boost Your Income guide.

Good luck everyone and thanks to shariann for the original post!

Oh my eBay is so painful! Two packages tonight and after the three lots of different fees the profit is only 1.48

But, have refund from Virgin Trains, with an unexpected 10 bonus for each ticket so that's another 20. Worth providing evidence for a poorly child, I have a full refund this time!

    New total 301.13 / 310

Wow, I can't believe I'm almost there! I love this thread thank you everyone for inspiring

15 adverts posted on Gtree. Most are 5 and cheaper then I think they are worth. Going to give them a week and then debate whether to ebay or charity shop.

Going to pile the bags by the front door to remind me that the stuff needs to go. Last time I hide it in a cupboard and it stayed for a year...

Just added mine up at last! I have been listing non stop to try and declutter and get some money back.

289.28 so far from selling on ebay, 6.78 from Quidco, 30.15 from Prolific equals 326.21!

Hi all, loving the updates :-)

Mine today is 4 cashback from a health plan. I need to look at whether I'm getting a good deal and if I should swap or not. Added to today's to do list.

I'm checking JobSpotter everyday and verifying that brings in pennies. I credit this when I'm up to 10. It's easy to do here and there when waiting for things such as the microwave to ping!

I'm hitting a bit of a brick wall this month - surveys have dried up, I'm never home when it's light to take good pictures for eBay so haven't listed anything, and nowhere around me seems to be recruiting so JobSpotter has also slowed down.

I've signed up for Oh My Dosh so I'm hoping to get something from that before the end of the month!
