    £2 Savers Club for 2019

    £2 Savers Club for 2019 22nd Dec 18 at 11:04 PM
Welcome to the £2 Savers Club 2019

The aim is to collect every £2 coin you can lay your hands on! It is entirely up to you whether you want to:
    A) Save for a particular length of time e.g. monthly or till December 2019,
    B) Save for a particular reason e.g. to pay the car insurance, to pay for a family holiday or to buy birthday presents throughout the year,
    C) Save until you have a specific amount e.g. £20 or £100 or a pot full!
    D) Save for any other reason you can think of...

Above all else remember this is a fun thread, but the aim of this website is to SAVE, so any encouragement, comments or help you can give to others are always very welcome.

Anyone who wishes to join is always very welcome, please just ask and I will add you as soon as I can and allocate you a number. Also, if anyone wants to add anything to the list such as a target or a date to aim for etc. then let me know and I will add it. However there is no pressure to do this as many people just wish to be able to save as and when they can.

So thatís it. Start saving, comment regularly e.g. let us know what type of coin you have obtained and hopefully it won't be too long before those pots are feeling heavy.

I've often thought of doing the NSD challenge, but have never gotten round to it. This year I'm completing a household expenditure sheet (tried it last year but was not totally focused - still a useful exercise as a basis for this year though) and keep every single receipt for entering, including receipts for taking my cash out of the bank. It's quite worrying how many little shops I do each week . That needs to stop as I can clearly see where my money is going!

Can't quite believe it. A friend asked me to change up her change in exchange for a £10 note and there were 4 lovely £2 coins. Like I'd refuse . All duly potted.

( I always share it with my hubby). But alcohol only £11.00 (bottle of sherry). I don't buy any hot drinks out and always take my lunch to work.

I know . Don't feel remotely guilty, in fact can't wait to be asked again!

    Well done on your coin!

I find it quite shocking how my money just whittles away sometimes. I may as well have a hole in my purse. This week has been good though with no spends until today (the vets bill for the cat's vaccination) but a quick shop planned for tomorrow. That will all be paid cash so I may be lucky and get my hands on some more £2 coins

Just spotted this thread, I'm on my second pot of saving £2 coins, started in November 17 and it's about 1/3 full.
My previous one took about 3.5 years to full, when I cracked it open I had a huge £962 which bought a new lap top and covered the childrens Christmas presents.
The next one hopefully to open in 18 months will go towards a much needed holiday.
I've been given about 6 in change this week, one of the benefits of using cash rather than my debit card.

Hi, just to say, not received anymore £2 coins since 15/6/19.

Total for 2019 saved is therefore still £42.

4 more for me this week (2 on Friday and 2 yesterday). All safely potted. I have bingo tonight so I'm ever hopeful that two more will be securely captured which will bring me up to a nice round £200 . Only time will tell!

Had a good night at bingo and collected 5 little gems which are safely potted. All plain. Havenít seen a Ďspecialí one for ages! Also won enough to pay for my car MOT and service at the end of August so that will ease things next month. Going again on Sunday - letís see if I can be lucky again 😀
