Pay ALL your debt off by Xmas 2019 18th Dec 18 at 12:24 PM
Welcome to Pay ALL Your Debt Off By Xmas 2019!

Firstly I would like to welcome all new and existing members from last years thread.

Anyone is welcome to join this challenge and it is NEVER too late. There is also no amount of money too small or too large that will stop you from joining this challenge. We have several members who will be on their debt journey for several years to come, but they are part of this thread to pay off a fixed amount of their debt as the support on here is fantastic!
So, if you think you can pay off all your debts by Christmas or have a goal to pay off a certain amount then please join in!

This challenge runs until 27th December 2019.

To help me run this thread easily, could you please all post your totals in large text and in a bold colour and post the amount you have paid off // target amount

It would also be a big help if you could also put with it your challenge number.
i.e. another £50 paid off so now the total paid off for

    #001 is £315.43/£7685.67
By the way, don't worry about working out your % paid as I can do that for you!

    Official MoneySavingExpert insert, 14 Jan:

Want to join the challenge? Please post your debt amount on this thread and ask to join. Muppets will assign you a special number (eg, #001), which you'll then start all your posts with.

You can also get help in the Debt free wannabe board and Debt Help guide.

If you haven’t already, join the forum to join in the challenge.

Good luck everyone and thanks to muppets for the original post!

This Forum tip was included in MoneySavingExpert.com's weekly email!

    Me again

Juggled money about in my accounts so I can clear a finance agreement which has two years still outstanding on it so I've bit the bullet and sent £1196.94 and the final direct debit will come out Friday and my account will be closed

Feels good to get this gone

    Abba you're on FIRE!

65% of your goal paid when we're only 29% of the way through 2019. Can't wait to see what your final total ends up at Are you going to increase your target or just see what you manage to overpay?

Hi I'd like to join this challenge. My total is £16,215. I'd like to pay off at least 25% of this by the end of the year, but will go for broke to get as much paid off as I can.
