    Yet another TSB issue. Unable to make purchases with my card either in person or online.



    I have spoke with customer services who advises nothing is wrong although there seems to be reports of the same starting to surface from others.


    Whatever next?

    The worst thing is that they never admit to any problems, blame it on something else or just say everything is working ok rather than holding their hands up.

    Are you still receiving cashback on transactions or interest free credit that would make you want to keep the card? If not, there are better options out there.
    Edit: nevermind, I suppose you mean debit card. But I wouldn't use TSB as my main current account - it's fine for getting 5% interest on 1,500.

    Clearly their service is poor.
    Unable to open a regular saver online (which I had done before), I had to make an appointment in branch and provide ID to even make the appointment.
    For the appointment, later the same day, they had issued a letter which said I needed to bring one piece of ID. At the appointment itself the person insisted she needed two pieces (fortunately I was able to provide them, just as I had done a couple of hours earlier when I made the appointment).
    She set up the SO to pay into the account and checked with me that it should be for a year. The first payment was to come out the next working day and so I went back to adjust it afterwards to come out at the start of each month - and found that she had set it up for every month with no end date.
    The usual question at the end of the appointment about whether there was anything else she could help with. I asked that she arrange for PIN reminders be sent for my two debit cards. Two weeks later and nothing has turned up.
    Is it worth putting in a complaint?

    Anyone else got this problem?

    Whatever next?
    What's next is that their IT systems will keep failing and breaking because they are rubbish.

    But, there are other banks. You know its going to keep happening so if you choose to keep your money there, you'll have to live with it.

    I get regular text messages now telling me I don’t have enough money in my account to cover upcoming payments and I have to pay money in ASAP to avoid fees. Phoned them in a panic first time to be told it’s a known bug and not to worry and of course “they apologise” as if that’s worth anything.

    Still waiting for the conclusion regarding my complaint from earlier this year. Several weeks ago a woman called looking for details so she could investigate it thoroughly. What a blooming joke!
