Eden Motor Group - haggling 9th Nov 18 at 10:40 PM
Accidentally seemed to have posted on parking fines before. Hope this times fine better!

I'm looking to buy a used car from Eden Motor Group and weren't sure if there a group that don't negotiate on price at all, a bit like motorpoint.

Obviously no harm in asking but it would be good to know if anybody had experience.

    Thank you!

Ask. What's the worst that'll happen?

    Yes, I will ask.

However, if they are stubborn and don't seem to be wanting to wiggle on the price it's good to understand why.

If it's they categorically don't do that, there's no point pushing. If they do allow wiggle room but are taught to be very hard on it and strongly suggest that they do not, then it's worth me pushing the point and being stubborn back.

Going into a negotiation it's good to have as much info as possible on who you're negotiating with. We should all know that at the moment.

Walking out is a very strong haggling technique. Make sure they have your contact details and they know you are genuinely looking to buy. And end of the month/quarter coming up, they'll want to shift those motors

People tend not to buy cars at this time of year ... with year-end fast approaching I'd suspect many dealers will be more flexible (to a point) in order to boost their numbers (unless they've already met their targets).
