I understand that they fixed the zip file problem that deleted users documents a few days ago.

After all the problems with this release so far I would be very wary of being an early user.

I shall make every effort to prevent the installation taking place on my laptop for as long as possible.

Had another call regarding a windows 10 update failing. Seems that computer just hates the latest updates. Kills it each time wont bootup.

Or the owner doesnt let it complete the process?

May roll it back and disable the updates.

Before I got my SSD and reinstalled Windows my laptop had updated (via WU) to 1809 and was running fine. When I downloaded the ISO for the reinstall only 1803 was available ... 1809 hasn't as yet been pushed to me again.

Where did I say that I had an 1809 ISO? I specifically said the opposite - I got mine previously via WU (Windows Update). It is 1803 I currently have via the official MS link.

But no matter what option you choose it always fails, Its a legit install so nothing dodgy on it.
The owner does not download dodgy files etc.

Tempted to just roll back to factory and disable the updates.
Should be old enough to allow that.

1809 updated via MS Insiders today -had to search for a Critical update from Sept -available via MS Catalog which ince installed allow 1809 update to fly past 48% and install fine.
Not sure why the additional critical update hadn't been made available via auto updates from Sept.
Since moved onto Oc't Tech Preview build 18277

Finally found time to sign in to one drive and find 1tb useable storage,
Seems my i3 laptop is coping with Win10 which is brill.
