    What's a "Microsoft thingy"?

I'm assuming the Gmail "app" is actually a shortcut to gmail.com so if that's the case you can just right-click on it and delete.

The microsoft thingy was covered in a previous post. At various times I get a message saying my gmail is out of date, click on it and a different gmail site comes up....it annoys me because my settings are up to date on the gmail I use through outlook...........

You can pick up Gmail by using your web browser or via a mail client such as Outlook or Thunderbird. I guess the web version of gmail updates periodically. As you don't say
    1. which Outlook you mean (The office one or the hotmail replacement one
    or
    2. Whether this is a desktop, mobile phone or tablet
it is relatively hard to give precise advice
May just be me but I've no idea what Microsoft thingy means and no I haven't looked for another thread.

Presuming the "microsoft thingy" was regarding OneDrive, that post was way more than two posts down, it was actually on the 2nd page and had dropped down there over 24hrs ago as of when I write when viewing in the typical "by date" fashion.

So I can only presume the OP has decided to sort their forum by something other than date order, which it appears you can do on the green skin, though why anybody would want to I have no idea.
