Nobody will be able to tell you unless you posted it online somewhere. But you didn't do that... did you?

Easiest solution to this problem is a paperclip, a power cycle and a reconfigure.

In future put the password on a sticky label and stick it underneath or if you have a brother label printer or a Dymo label printer print label and stick that. Failing that its possible you might be able to reset the router depending on what make

Some years back the password was the same as the username ie Administrator and Administrator. Then they realised lmao that it made the router a little bit vulnerable so they altered the password to a code, possibly the serial number if I remember correctly, printed on the bottom of the router.

Therefore look on the bottom of the router and note down the codes and try them as the password.

If you changed it then you are so out of luck.

Some routers will reset the login information when a hard reset is done. However newer routers might use hardware stored login info and a reset might not reset it.

your router has two passwords. The first one is to configure the router, the second is the wifi password. Cant help you with the first one and it will have to be reset to resume factory default. The second password can often bee seen under your wifi settings on the router wifi configuration, but some routers may hide this too.

I would have suggested that you try the Nir Sofer utility program RouterPassView - but for that you need a backup file of the router's configuration, which I suspect you don't have...

People in this group are way too helpful!

If I'd posted something similar in the banking forum I'd have been rightly lambasted.

Now then... anyone care to actually guess what my password is?

No, no one can guess, you have won the crown for the most impossible to guess password. Congratulations!

I guess those hackers are just lucky they use multiple hacking-bots to attempt to break into your connection rather than just relying on the human brain...
