Whisky - how to establish historic prices of maturing whisk in the cask? 12th Oct 18 at 5:03 PM
Have been looking into the investment potential of maturing Whisky in the cask, potential returns appear to be over 10%. Problem I have is obtaining reliable current and historical price data for each distillery/year.

Anyone know how/where to obtain reliable price per cask data?

Shouldn't the RomfordNavy stick to rum? Or maybe people on jetskis should stick to vodka?
Free the dunston one next time too.

At least if it's too good to be true you can drink yourself silly.

Not an investment I’d consider until all discarded donkeys are living in luxury.

How much do you know about whisky and the associated industry? I suspect very little (but I could be wrong). I know nothing about it but do know that 10% + returns always come with a high risk or are out and out scams. How did you come accross this 'opportunity'??

It's an opaque and illiquid market (yes, yes, insert pun here). So you have to rely on people with a deep knowledge of the market, whose interests may not be aligned to yours; and even if they are will be charging you a high fee for it.

Friend of mine lost everything on something like this.
Be wary that this is not anything from: "not as safe or regulated as they seem to imply" to complete fraud.
