Which insurance company to use 12th Oct 18 at 3:43 PM
    Hi

Trying to get some travel insurance with pre existing medical conditions.

Cost varies from the level quoted for people with no medical problems, (if a deal looks to good to be true, it probably isn't) to hundreds of pounds!

When you look for reviews they all look to be highly regarded but when you go into it the reviews mainly relate to the ease of getting the policy and not what happens if you need to make a claim. You only get the truer picture when you drill down to the * reviews.

I would be interested to know what companies people have found to be good in the event of a claim.

Try PJ Hayman or All Clear. I often use these guys for pre-existing conditions as they specialise.

We usually get quotes via payingtoomuch.com. Cheapest for us (with pre-existings, one of us a tad ancient), but may or may not work for you - doesn't work for our thirty-something daughter, different age with different pre-existings.

That's the trouble with recommending insurance companies.

ETA: Sorry, didn't read your post properly. Never had to claim, so can't recommend anyone as being decent at paying out in the event of a problem.
