Make up to £10 a day in October 2018 - Everyone welcome 30th Sep 18 at 4:13 PM
    Hello and welcome everybody

This is the 134th month of this challenge, which was first started by Batgirl, in September 2007. Here is a link to the original thread as I am sure some of you are interested to read where it all began.

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=542835

Thanks to Batgirl for starting it and for everyone who has kept it going for 11 years! I would especially like to thank Aesop who has run the thread for the last few years

Quite a few of the regulars have taken a break recently so we would be really pleased to see some new faces and of course we would love to hear from any of our old posters even if it is just to say hello

It is only natural for the thread to evolve and change in a different direction and for new ideas to be explored.

The same with the challengers in this thread. Some become debt free, mortgage free, life takes a new path, new challenges, etc.

It is definitely worth joining, reading and joining in. It has helped so many people over the years and it has been amazing.

People will be missed and are alway missed when they stop posting. You are forever in our hearts and on this challenge.

I am posting the new thread again this month and Kantankrus Mare will be posting the list of challengers. I will be back at work next week so may not have as much time in September. We hope to make the running of the thread a collaborative effort so it doesn’t become too much work for anyone so please help out if you can.

This challenge was recently renamed as people seemed to be put off thinking they HAVE TO make £10 a day.

    You don't.

The original purpose of this challenge was to help people to try and make an extra £10 a day on top of their normal income to help things along. Ie paying off debt, making savings, paying for holidays, overpaying mortgages etc.

That is exactly what this challenge is about, attempting to make extra income on top of your normal income to help you wherever you need it.

People start the challenge by setting a goal of £1 a day. Then when they find they are smashing this regularly, they up it to £5 a day. Some of us gluttons for punishment go for £10 a day. It really is entirely upto you. We only ask you to post what your goal is to help you keep motivated. Some days you make more and some days you make less, but aim for extra at the end of the month.

The idea is that everyone posts how they are making extra money and these shared ideas help all of us to learn new ways to help cut debt or earn/save money.

    What cannot be added:
    Wages from your main job

    What can be added:
    Overtime
    Income from a second job
    Daily clicks
    Interest
    Vouchers
    Mystery shopping
    And much, much more.

This board can move pretty quickly, so be sure to subscribe and read it regularly.

So who wants to join us?

Join this challenge and let's make those bank accounts fat, mortgages paid off, holidays paid off, savings account grow fatter, debts paid off and much much more!!!

Well, I've had a productive few days! In the last 5 days I've earned £12.57 through surveys, cashback, receipt apps and passive income aps and a crazy £240.86 through micro jobs, with another £52.50 pending and more to do tomorrow. I've also got another £10-15 on JobSpotter but I can't get in to the account to check!

So that makes £297.51/£310 on the month

    Hello everyone

Another of my 'can I count this? Please say yes' type questions!
Got sent a cheque for £138.44 this morning!

Since setting up a direct debit some months ago I have been overpaying - no idea why!

So they have refunded me the difference and asked me to amend the amount paid each month.

I've also signed up to 'everyday offers' with my bank and got some cashback on a couple of things - about £2, this makes me smile!

Relisted an item on ebay after somebody didn't pay which was very annoying.

I don't think anything else I have on there will sell!

Take care all and have a lovely weekend - thanks for all the ideas, I'm at £5 on Quickthoughts and that's just on surveys, they pay out at £10.

Assuming everything gets approved I've earned another £50 micro jobbing today and am looking at another £20+ tomorrow depending on what time limited ones come up where I'm going to in the morning. I was taking part in a competition with one of the apps where the top 10 earners get a bonus of £50-£200 but someone sniped a load from "my patch" and despite being in the top 10 earlier in the week I'm not any more so I'm no feeling very confident any more.

£22.50 from Ebay (after fees) plus £10 sale from a Facebook site. Listing more Ebay stuff tomorrow
Still doing daily clicks but also found the following on Topcashback. These are free and become payable quickly... hope this helps someone:

    Quote searcher £2.10
    Lebara (sim card) £0.52
    Chili £1.57
    20 Cogs £1.00

I did all of these in September and they are now payable. There are others I've done but they aren't payable yet so I'll post them when they are payable... hope it's ok to put it here

    Not bad going everyone.

I really need to take the plunge in to matched betting, just worried I'll balls it up somehow and end up losing money!

20 cogs is a great site btw, they offer some cash back deals that I haven't seen on other sites and at higher rates than the others to.

Cashed out £10 to amazon from shopandscan.

Really made an effort with instagc due to their increased bonus scheme (up from 5% to 10%) and just cashed out another £5 after getting the biggest bonus points I have ever made on there. 86.40 points

Cant believe I had signed up to insta years ago and only earlier this year got to grips with it.

    Morning everyone

I seem to be lurching from one problem to another just lately. In the last week there has been problems at work, no heating or hot water at home, car problems, a parking ticket and now another potentially serious health problem in the family. Think I might just stay in bed! Oh and the kettle is not working this morning either

On the money making front I have cashed out two £10 amazon vouchers on swagbucks this month and sent off my solar panel reading for my Fit payment so should get a cheque soon.

There is a 10% extra code on webuybooks this weekend
