    O2 are a joke!!! 15th Sep 18 at 10:13 AM
Ok so my phone Contract has run out.

I am looking to Upgrade to the Iphone X Or XS 64GB Silver

I rung o2 to Enquire about the XS as seen loads of good deals on MobilesPhonesDirect.co.uk (Way cheaper than o2 Direct) (Legit company rung them up)

Told o2 about the deals and could they match them, The Advisor said he couldn't but would see what he could offer me (Was rubbish deals) and if they did NHS Discount he flat out said no I can't use NHS Discount..

How can that be when EE Can use NHS Discount on Iphone XS

Should I ring o2 aagin?? or use Mobilephones Direct deals?

What is the relevance of a 'NHS Discount' to your comment?

It used to be (don't know if it still is) that EE would only give NHS discount if you went into a store as you had to produce your last months payslip to prove it. Also they wouldn't do any discounts on new iPhones for the first 3 months.

A few days after release, of course. They don't have to offer discounts, some people will have to have the newest phone as soon as they can.

A couple of months down the line, that's when the price will come down.

    It's always been like that.

Just remember that you will still need to give 30 (?) days notice to leave.

You’ll probably find for the next couple of months cash back sites won’t offer anything for the latest handsets; it might have changed over the past couple of years but the last time I used Quidco that was the case.

o2 have the Open scheme (details at o2.co.uk/open) but it’s not valid on the XS/XR-if you really want a newer handset the X will do pretty much everything the same as the XS.

Vodafone also offer NHS Discount but again it probably won’t apply to the XS/XR and you won’t get anything if you use a third party company rather than going directly to the network.

The latest and greatest handsets won’t be cheap, it’s not MoneySaving when it comes to Apple... but in Three’s ‘defence’ they have been one of the better networks this year in terms of pricing IMHO.
