Artificial Grass 12th Aug 18 at 7:42 PM
    Hi,

I am thinking of installing artificial grass.

Has anyone got any experience? Good/ bad?
Any good companies/ brand anyone can suggest?

A friend has it. He says it dries out quickly after rain, so he can play football with his kids without churning up a mud bath.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

we got ours done after getting a dog that insisted on digging up our old lawn.

have to say its the best thing we've done to the house in a long while. you can't do it on the cheap though. ours is not a massive garden (needed 80 sq mts of turf as it is an irregular shape and there was wastage), it cost £4k all in. our turf was around £30 per sq mt and we are in the south east.
fitting was almost as much as the turf but it looks brilliant and more importantly the dog doesn't get muddy.

been down over a year now and still marvel at the way it looks. unless pointed out to people, they don't even realise it's artificial at first sight.

Best thing we ever did.Kids can play on it and no mess. You will get good quality on line for about £15 sq.mtre and fit it yourself, itís not difficult. Plenty of tips online, good luck.
