MCOL Claim advice please 6th Aug 18 at 3:22 PM
    Hi,
I have issued a claim for rent arrears against a tenant currently residing in my property. I have received a N9A form to admit the full amount with a offer of payment of 1 per month. The tenant has detailed on the form her outgoings for rent is 140.75 - however this is what has not been paid for sometime hence the claim ( after trying hard to get a communication channel ).

I am happy to accept an offer of payment but don't want to accept 1 per month. The online mcol system seems to allow you to request judgement when the defendant admits the money is owed but not any way of detailing the offer of payment and why I think it should be increased - can any body advice if this claim can be continued online or do I now need to write the the courts. thanks

If the tenant is still there why are you taking this to court now?

Surely any order you get would be redundant next month, or the month after etc. When she doesn't pay rent again?

Thanks Comms69 - yes that's right, however it has opened a dialogue of sorts and there is nothing stopping me ( as far as I know ) doing an additional claim down the line.
Can I update the mcol system online to request an increase payment and detail me reasons why.
