My wife is a named driver on our cars insurance policy, with me as the main driver, our daughter has said my wife can borrow her car for a week. However correct me if im wrong here but i dont think she can as shes only a named driver on our insurance. Our policy is fully comp.

Correct. She either needs to be named on your daughter's policy or get short term insurance in her own name.

Most insurers would allow your daughter to add your wife as a temporary named driver for one week.

There's likely to be a charge, including an admin charge.

Your daughter could phone her insurer to get a quote for adding the temporary driver, before deciding if it's worthwhile.

(Your daughter would need all the relevant info about your wife - accident/claims history, occupation, purpose of driving - SDP, Commuting, Business etc.)
