Data Use - Sky Sports, Now TV and PS4 5th Aug 18 at 3:55 PM
My son has just taken out Sky Sports via Now TV, using his PS4 and a mobile wifi hotspot (Huawei E5577). He has a 50GB data sim. He gets an excellent result, but watching ome football match appears to have used 9GB!

Any suggestions about how to minimise the data used would be very much appreciated. He knows to exit the Now TV app as soon as he is finished and changing from the mobile hotspot isn't an option.

    Thanks in anticipation.

Minimise data by only watching the match itself not adds and talk .
Use SD if stream is HD .

The maximum available streaming quality is 720p for NowTV content on all devices.

It is rumoured that 1080p may happen later in the year like Amazon and Netflix already provide.

Maximum bitrate is around 4865Kbps (maximum resolution is 1280x720 pixels) which equates to around 2.2 GB of data per hour, so it appears that your son has streamed for approx four hours to use 9GB.
