RAF 100 Flypast Route 10th Jul 18 at 6:02 AM
The flypast will take place today, passing over The Mall and Buckingham Palace at 1pm.

There will also be a parade of more than 1,000 RAF members.

The flypast will begin to form over Suffolk, near to Ipswich, at around 12.45pm, travelling towards Colchester and Chelmsford.

It will then continue in a south-west direction towards Leyton, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Hackney, Bethnal Green, Shoreditch and City of London.

The spectacle is then set to plot a course over Buckingham Palace and The Mall, before flying over Heathrow, Windsor and Maidenhead.

Once the formation has cleared central London it will split into three groups, heading towards Runnymede, Heathrow and Hendon.

They will then start to disperse and head back to their bases.

RAF Centenary - 10th July Celebrations

The RAF released a free app on Friday, making it easier to watch the RAF100 formation over Buckingham Palace on July 10 through their phones and tablets.

The app -- called RAF100 AR Flypast -- is on the UK Google Play and iOS Stores and features 35 types of aircraft spanning the RAF's 100-year history. The list includes icons such as the Spitfire and runs to the state of the art F35 Lightning.

I'm in south London & we won't see them either!

Can someone enlighten me here please? A few years ago, an aircraft (I want to say Lancaster, but not sure) carried out it's final flight, I happened to walk into the garden just as it was flying over. I had no idea I was on the flightpath, but my word, what a magnificent beast it was. Does anyone know what aircraft it could be?

Didn't see the helicopters but saw about 80 aircraft in several groups, including the Red Arrows flying down 'the A12 corridor' towards London shortly before 1pm.
Not directly overhead, but still got a pretty good view

It was Sports Day at the local primary school and all 200+ children were outside watching from the school playing field too

Loved watching the fly pass even if it was on telly and not in person. So many people in the mall to enjoy the day. Lovely photos you managed to get worldtraveller.

Missed it.....was out in the sunshine watching all the traffic on the water coming in and out of Portsmouth Harbour.

Usually get a chinook flying over our house a couple of times a day, I know where it was yesterday now.

We also benefited from an almost overhead pass along the usual Mall flypast route... the most memorable being Concorde and the Arrows going overhead in formation for the Golden Jubilee, and having plenty of time to walk indoors to watch it on TV a short while later. Best of both worlds.

Sadly this time I was busy elsewhere.
