DVLA credit card charge 10th Jul 18 at 1:59 AM
    Hi,
Just renewed car tax at a post office.
Told it would be 2.50 to use my credit card for it so used debit card instead.
Just ordinary credit card, not a company one.

I thought credit card charges had been abolished or is the DVLA immune?

    Thanks in advance.

They made an error. There's no additional fee, unless you're using a business card.

Whoever told you this was either misinformed or misunderstood. The charge only remains for corporate cards not personal ones.

You could have done it online.
