Beware. Cold called Monday 25 June by Currys and persuaded to Switch Gas and Electric from EDF variable to fixed rate saving about 30 pm...later checked customer reviews and decided to cancel but never received cooling off notice so wrote my own ans sent by e-mail and post. Now bombarding me with automated e-mails and telephone calls. Be wary.

You should be stronger when cold called.

Never sign up for anything from a cold call until you have checked everything out first

I do not answer the phone except:

    A. I know the number.

    B. I am expecting a call.

Anyone is free to leave a message if they are a legitimate caller.

    Why do people do otherwise?
